2009 EGYPTIAN OPEN CHAMPION TILEY QUALIFIES FOR THE OPEN


2009 Egyptian Open champion Steven Tiley (Club ISM) scored rounds of 69 and 68 for a total of 3 under par 137 played over the Scotscraig course to earn one of the precious places at The Open Golf Championship to be held at St Andrews Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th July, 2010.


Three spots were available from the 72 player field. Winner from Scotscraig was Paul Streeter on 135. Alongside Tiley was Gary Clark (unattached) and Lloyd Saltman (Archerfield), with Saltman failing in the 3 player play-off for 2 spots.

The 150th Anniversary Open Championship will take place on 15-18 July 2010 on the Old Course at St Andrews.
